On the 28th, the secretariat of the 20th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival (JIMFF, Executive Chairman Lee Dong-jun) said, “The ceremony will be held for a total of 6 days from the 5th to the 5th. September 10,” and added, “We have hired a new programmer, Eun-young Choi, and are accelerating preparations for a large-scale film festival.” I said.
Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, held in mid-August, has had difficulty holding outdoor events due to inclement weather such as frequent rains and storms every year since its opening and are considering changing the organization time. In addition, because it is expected to last until 2026, the schedule coincides with the National Secondary School Football Tournament, so it is confirmed that the organization date will be changed to avoid inconvenience in using accommodation and amenities.
In addition, Jecheon International Music & Film Festival invited Choi Eunyoung as a new programmer. He worked as a reporter for the monthly film magazine 'KINO', started as a guest programmer at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, and worked as a programmer at top domestic film festivals such as Gachibom Film Festival, Pyeongchang International Peace Film Festival, and Seoul International Children's Film Festival.
Programmer Choi Eunyoung is expected to take charge of film programming for the 20th JIMFF and introduce higher-quality works to the audience.
In response, programmer Choi Eunyoung said: “Being a programmer for JIMFF, Korea's only international film and music festival, is a heavy responsibility, but at the same time, I'm glad that I can programming and introducing to the audience. “I will do my best for the success of JIMFF, which is now 20 years old,” he said.
The 20th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival will be held in the Jecheon city from September 5 to 10. Currently, we are accepting submissions for long and short films, as well as screening of 'Made in Jecheon', a local competition.
