[The FactㅣReporter Kim Saet-byeol] Aespa Winter has undergone pneumothorax surgery.
On the 12th, SM Entertainment said about Winter's health condition, "She recently underwent pneumothorax surgery and is recovering."
"Since this is a disease that easily recurs, this is a precautionary measure based on the opinion of medical staff" and added: "This is a surgery decided upon after carefully discussed".
As she is currently recovering, disruptions to the expected schedule are inevitable. Accordingly, the company said: "Future schedules will be conducted with the top priority being Winter's recovery."
Pneumothorax is a disease in which air or gas accumulates in the pleural space because there is a hole in the surface of the lung and air leaks or overflows. It is known that the recurrence rate is very high.
Aespa is in the final stages of working on an album with a comeback in May. Aespa also announced a 10-date tour for their second world tour . Aespa's second world tour will kick off at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on June 29-30 and will be held in 14 regions in Asia and Australia, including Japan and Hong Kong.
