[The FactㅣReporter Kim Saet-byeol] Sakura, a member of Le Sseraphim, appeared on the Coachella festival and expressed her feelings about the live controversy that arose.
On the 15th, Sakura posted a long article in Japanese on the official fan platform Weverse. Through this, she expressed her thoughts on appearing on the stage of the 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival' on the 13th (local time) afterwards.
Sakura said, “I learned a lot from Coachella preparations to the day of the performance,” adding, “This performance is a place where even people who don’t know us or hear the song for the first time can feel, ‘It was fun,’ or ‘Today was an unforgettable, wonderful day.’ she said.
She continued, "(Through Coachella), I think our determination was conveyed and we were able to perform on the best stage. It's been less than two years since we debuted and we've only toured once, so we opened our hearts, had fun and truly enjoyed the Coachella stage. “I put all my effort into the stage,” she said.
Sakura emphasized again, "I really prepared for this stage. And I think I was able to show everything on the day."
At the same time, she indirectly mentioned the controversy over her group singing live skills that arose earlier, saying, "It may be immature in some people's eyes." Sakura said, "But no one is perfect, and it is an unshakable fact that this was the best stage we've ever shown. So, I was very excited that we could become a better team in the future, and it was a performance that made me want to work harder."
Also, "I was walking through Coachella Plaza today and several people said, 'Your performance yesterday was the best.' I was already deeply moved by that. The audience enjoyed it until the end, hummed the song together, and created such a wonderful space. “It was the best memory for me that I was able to share.”
Finally, Sakura expressed her determination, saying, "No matter what anyone thinks, I believe in what I think and feel. That's why I came this far. I will continue to believe in myself. Coachella, thank you so much and I will do my best next week as well."
Previously, Le Seraphim performed 10 songs, including one new song, live on stage at Coachella. However, the group received harsh criticism for their skills falling short of expectations. Le Sseraphim will appear on the Coachella stage once again on the April 20th.
