[The FactㅣReporter Munhwa-young] Actor Go Kyung-pyo brought laughter to the small screen.
Go Kyung-pyo played Song Ki-baek, a social genius and talented announcer who does not know rejection, in the JTBC Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Frankly Speaking' (written by Choi Kyeong-seon, directed by Jang Ji-yeon), which first aired on the 1st. He did not miss the humor points hidden here and there and showed a serious yet cheerful appearance.
'Frankly Speaking' is a childish and cheeky life-changing drama that follows announcer Song Ki-baek (played by Go Kyung-pyo), who becomes an uncontrollable tongue-in-cheek hulk, and encounters passionate entertainment writer On Woo-joo (played by Kang Han-na).
On this day, Ki-baek took time off from broadcast standby to host news to help the son of announcer team leader (played by Jo Han-cheol) gain job experience. In this way, the spirit of handling news seriously and perfectly helped him overcome a crisis created by the other announcer who was also hosting the broadcast.
However, despite the best efforts, the accident grew beyond repair. The announcer team leader suggested Ki-baek, whose image had been ruined due to the 'JBC newsroom affair incident', to appear in an entertainment program instead of the main news audition. Kibaek, unable to refuse, eventually headed to the entertainment filming set.
Ki-baek's not-so-easy life continued in entertainment filming as well. He suffered abuse from a popular idol in the waiting room, and during filming, he was called out by Onwoo, the main writer, for being unsuitable for entertainment. He also suffered an unexpected electric shock and lost consciousness, and from then on, he only spoke the truth.
Ki-baek, who presented a charm that alternates between seriousness and fun, has now become a sincere and harsh speaker. Attention is focused on the full-fledged story he will tell without a filter.
Episode 2 of ‘Frankly Speaking’ will be broadcast at 8:50 pm on the 2nd.
