[The Fact｜Reporter Park Ji-yoon] The girl group NewJeans will be the first K-pop girl group to perform at Geunjeongjeon at Gyeongbokgung Palace.

'2024 Korea On Stage - New Generation' hosted by the National Heritage Administration and hosted by the National Heritage Promotion Agency and KBS Korea Broadcasting, will be held on the special stage in front of Heungnyemun Gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace on the 21st. Pre-filming for the special stage was completed at Geunjeongjeon in Gyeongbokgung Palace.

New Jeans, the first K-pop girl group to perform a special stage at Geunjeongjeon, will perform 'Cool With You'. On this stage, the members plan to show off styling that highlights the beauty of Korea, including a specially made hanbok costume with a design that reinterprets the beoseon-style shoes.

In addition, it is expected to convey the greatness of national heritage and the status of K-pop by adding a fantastic performance that brightens the night scene of Geunjeongjeon.

Geunjeongjeon is a palace building where important national ceremonies were held during the Joseon Dynasty and is currently an important national heritage designated as a national treasure. It is rare for a public performance to be held in the Geunjeongjeon area even since the opening of Gyeongbokgung Palace in 1954, and the National Heritage Administration is drawing even more attention by opening Geunjeongjeon specifically for the stage of New Jeans, the leading K-pop group in Korea.

New Jeans' Geunjeongjeon special stage can be seen through 'Korea On Stage', which will be broadcast on KBS2 at 11:15 pm on the 21st, and the broadcast will be broadcast to 142 countries through KBS World.
