This song ranked first on the Melon daily chart, which has the largest number of users in Korea, on the 20th, a week after its release, and remained at the top until the morning of the 22nd.
'Supernova' has maintained the top spot on the Bugs chart for 8 consecutive days immediately after its release, and has topped all major domestic music charts, including Flo Genie Melon. In addition, it is popular both at domestic and international, with cumulative streaming exceeding 18 million times on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.
Accordingly, expectations are rising for aespa's first full album 'Armageddon', which will be released on the 27th. A total of 10 songs of various genres are included, including the pre-released title song 'Supernova' and another title song 'Armageddon'.
'Armageddon' is a hip-hop dance song with a strong synth bass sound and an old-school yet trendy track. The lyrics, which contain the subjective message, 'Only I can define myself,' and the rough and restrained tone blend well together to provide an even more upgrade.
'Prologue', a modern pop genre song, delivers a warm message of comfort with the message of letting go of worries about an uncertain future and writing your own story at your own pace. aespa's third fan song 'Melody', following their previous works 'Till We Meet Again' and 'You', is a warm ballad.
'Set The Tone' is a hip-hop dance song that expresses the confident lyrics, 'All atmosphere is led by our music', with aespa's energetic vocals. 'Mine' is also in the same hip-hop dance genre, but has a different atmosphere as it is a minimal track with dreamy vocals centered around a heavy 808 bass sound.
In addition, 'Long Chat' is a dance song with a bright track sound, and you can feel the synergy with aespa's bouncy vocal charm. 'Licorice', a dance song with a vintage electric guitar sound and strong trap beat, offers a sweet and spicy charm, while 'Live My Life', a cheerful guitar-based pop punk, provides refreshing energy.
After releasing its first full-length album on the 27th, aespa will open a pop-up store 'aespa WEEK - Armageddon: The Mystery Circle' from the 28th to June 9th at 121 Wangsimni-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
