[The Fact｜Reporter Park Ji-yoon] ‘Moana’ movie returns with the second story.
On 29th, distributor Walt Disney Company Korea announced, the movie 'Moana 2' (directed by Dave Derek Jr.) will be released on November 27th" while also releasing a teaser poster about the new adventure of Moana and Maui.
The photo attracted attention when it showed the silhouette of Moana blowing a conch against the background of a beautiful sunset that turned the clear blue sea with water purple. In addition, the hook that is the source of Maui's power and the oar used to row the boat are dropped on the vast beach, making people wonder what new adventures Moana and Maui will have in the context of the endless sea.
'Moana', released in 2017, captivated audiences around the world with its wonderful visuals and beautiful OST that fully captured the magical sea and nature. Thanks to that, the work recorded a box office profit of up to 640 million USD and was nominated for Best Animated feature Film and Best Original Song at the 89th Academy Awards, proving its artistic value.
'Moana 2', returning for a second story some seven years later, follows Moana and Maui on their adventures with a new crew. Director Dave Derrick Jr., who made the movie 'Raya and the Last Dragon', takes on the lead role.
‘Moana 2’ will be released on November 27th.
