[The FactㅣReporter Munhwayoung] It has been reported that Blackpink Lisa paid money to nearby stores in exchange for closing a street in Thailand to film a music video for her new song.
On the 2nd (local time), Hong Kong's South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported, "Lisa went on May 3rd at 2am to film the music video for her new song 'Rockstar' on Yaowarat Street, Chinatown, Bangkok, Thailand. “The streets were closed from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.,” the report said.
According to reports, Lisa offered 20,000 baht in compensation to the store owners for causing noise and inconvenience by filming even though most of the merchants had finished their business. 20,000 baht is equivalent to approximately 750,000 won in Korean Won, which is equivalent to more than an average monthly salary in Thailand.
In addition, it was reported that 1,000 baht (approximately 37,000 won) would be given to passers-by who experience inconvenience while passing on the street during this time. In fact, the 'Rockstar' music video showed Lisa standing alone or dancing with dancers in the middle of a quiet Chinatown street.
'Rockstar' is a song that combines modern R&B and hip-hop genres, and is Lisa's first solo song released by LLOUD Co., which she has just established after leaving her previous agency, YG Entertainment.
On the 30th of last month, Lisa wrote on her Instagram, "I'm so happy to finally be able to share my new single 'Rockstar' with you. I've been working on this project for quite some time and had a lot of fun preparing it."
She continued, "It's been 3 years since my last song, so I hope you all enjoy the song Rockstar as much as I do." She added, "P.S. This is just the beginning. There's more to show, so please look forward to it."
