‘Inside Out 2’ 2nd place, ‘Handsome Guys’ 3rd place

[The Fact|Reporter Park Ji-yoon] ‘Escape’ is racing toward 1 million viewers.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated movie ticket network on the 11th, 'Escape' (directed by Lee Jong-pil) ranked first in the box office by capturing 66,667 viewers the previous day. The cumulative number of viewers is 938,546 which is on the verge of exceeding 1 million.
'Escape', which was shown on the screen on the 3rd, captivated more than 100,000 viewers on the first day of release and got off to a good start at number one at the box office. However, 'Escape', which lost first place to 'Inside Out 2' (directed by Kelsey Mann) the next day, regained the top spot on the 8th and maintained its position for 3 consecutive days, raising expectations for box office success.
The work depicts a life-threatening chase between North Korean soldier Gyu-nam (played by Lee Je-hoon), who has begun his escape for tomorrow, and Hyeon-sang (played by Koo Kyo-hwan), a National Security Agency officer who pursues Gyu-nam to protect today.
'Inside Out 2' (directed by Kelsey Mann) is showing steady box office performance, ranking second with 63,957 viewers. The cumulative number of viewers is 7,101,757, raising expectations about whether it will surpass 'Inside Out 2''s final score of 7.24 million and become the number one Pixar animation box office hit.
'Inside Out 2', which returns after 9 years, is an animation film about the crisis and adventure that begins again when 13-year-old Riley's peaceful daily life is shattered as new unfamiliar emotions such as anxiety, embarrassment, boredom, and envy appear in the emotional control center in Riley's head. It aroused sympathy from all generations with its fresh world view and cute emotional characters.
‘Handsome Guys’ (director Nam Dong-hyeop) ranked 3rd with 36,933 viewers, ‘Hijacking’ (directed by Kim Seong-han) ranked 4th with 24,078 viewers, and ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ (directed by Michael Sarnoski). It ranked 5th with 6,217 people.
