The agency Ador announced on the 11th, the sales volume of NewJeans' Japanese debut single “Supernatural”, released on the 21st of last month, was calculated to be a total of 1,021,730 copies based on Circle Chart. As a result, all five albums NewJeans has released since its debut in July 2022 have become million-sellers.
NewJeans' first EP “New Jeans” and single album “OMG” recorded sales of 1.6 million and 1.66 million copies, respectively. The second EP “Get UP” sold over 2.14 million copies, becoming a double million seller, and the double single album “How Sweet” sold over 1.12 million copies. The combined cumulative sales of the five albums amount to approximately 7.55 million copies.
They are continuing to do well not only in albums but also in music sources. “Supernatural” ranked 22nd on the US Billboard chart ( July 13) 'Global (excluding the US)' and 34th on the “Global 200”, charting for two consecutive weeks. It is receiving a lot of love, maintaining its first place on the daily chart of Bugs, a major domestic music site, for 9 days, and reaching its highest ranking of 5th on Melon's “Top 100”.
NewJeans will be appearing on MBC show starting with KBS2's Music Bank on the 12th. “Supernatural” activities will continue on domestic music broadcasts such as “Music Core”.
