[The Fact|Reporter Park Ji-yoon] The mad ‘Joker’ who will awaken the impoverished world returns.
Distributor Warner Bros. Korea Co., Ltd. released the trailer for the movie 'Joker: Folie à Deux' (director Todd Phillips) on the 24th. The video contains sensuous music and visuals along with the narrative of Joker (played by Joaquin Phoenix) and Harley Quinn (played by Lady Gaga), raising expectations for the work even more.
The trailer released on this day begins with a radio broadcast saying, "Two years ago, the name Arthur Fleck hit Gotham like a hurricane. He’s a monster," and the Joker's ever-changing, crazy appearance. Afterwards, to the pop song ‘When You’re Smiling’, the events surrounding the Joker depicted in this work unfold like a panorama, drawing attention.
In particular, Harley Quinn circles around the Joker, saying, "For once in my life, I don't feel so alone anymore," and the Joker shouts, "For once in my life, I have someone who needs me!", causing intense shivers.
Harley Quinn's next words, "You can do anything you want. You’re Joker," awaken the suppressed side of the Joker once again. Joker, who can no longer be stopped by anyone, begins to run with everything he has, saying, "Look around, look at all these people! I will no longer allow any of you to keep me down."
It raises questions about what kind of decisive blow Joker and Harley Quinn will deliver to the devastated world as they travel between the camp engulfed in flames and violence, the courtroom, and the stage. Lastly, the two leave a meaningful line, "Sing hallelujah, come on, get happy. Get ready for the judgment day," raising expectations for the work even more.
