[The Fact|Reporter Park Ji-yoon] ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ topped the box office on the first day of its release.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated movie ticket network on the 25th, 'Deadpool and Wolverine' (directed by Sean Levy), which was open in theaters the previous day, captured 230,088 viewers and ranked first in the box office. The cumulative number of viewers is 231,723.
This attracts attention as it far surpasses the opening score (163,314) of 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3', which recorded a cumulative audience of 4.2 million. In addition, 'Deadpool & Wolverine' achieved an amazing record of being the highest opening score among movies released in the past three months (May to July), as well as among budget films released this year, raising expectations for future box office success.
The work is an action blockbuster that unfolds as Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds), who lived as an ordinary used car dealer after retiring from his career as a hero, faces an unexpected and huge crisis and visits Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), his opposite in every way.
'Despicable Me 4' (directed by Chris Renaud), which opened on the same day as 'Deadpool N Wolverine', started in second place with 73,348 viewers. The work is a Minion-possible blockbuster in which the Agent Minions, who gave up their villain activities and became AVL, a villain-dedicated task force, and the Gru family, whose abilities increased with the birth of Gru Jr., are driven by a desire for revenge against Gru to stop the villain Maxim, who escaped from prison.
‘Escape’ (directed by Lee Jong-pil) ranked 3rd with 35,726 viewers, ‘Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Pentagram’ (directed by Chika Nagaoka) ranked 4th with 31,818 viewers, and ‘Inside Out 2’ (directed by Kelsey) ) ranked 5th with 17,459 people.
