[The Fact|Reporter Park Ji-yoon] ‘Wicked’ is shown to Korean viewers for the first time.

Distributor Universal Pictures announced on the 25th, "The movie 'Wicked' (directed by John Chu) will be released for the first time worldwide in Korea on November 20th," and released a video that provides a glimpse into the work's huge worldview.

Above all, 'Wicked' is scheduled to be released on domestic screens two days earlier than its North American release schedule on November 22nd. As musical films such as 'Frozen', 'Aladdin', and 'Wonka' have received much love from Korean audiences, 'Wicked' has also completed preparations to meet domestic audiences faster than anyone else.

The video released along with the news of the release confirmation contains the passion and affection of the production team and actors who created and implemented the huge world view of 'Wicked'. The production team created sets for the main background locations of the movie, such as Emerald City and Munchkin Land, and did not miss any details.

In particular, they are expected to capture 9 million fresh tulips directly planted and cultivated in the plains on the screen, giving the audience the feeling of entering the world of the movie. Director John Chu, who took over the megaphone, expressed his sincerity toward the work by emphasizing, "I wanted to give the audience the best sense of immersion. If you want it to feel real, you have to actually build it all."

The actors also praised the production team's passion. Ariana Grande said, "Most of the sets were actually hand-made. Thanks to this, a world that has never been seen before was created," and Cynthia Erivo raised the audience's expectations by saying, "All the details were added to create an imaginary world."

'Wicked' is an unexpected crisis that involves two completely different characters, Elphaba (played by Cynthia Erivo), who has not yet discovered her true power, and Glinda (played by Ariana Grande), who has not discovered her true nature  as they build friendship and draw adventures. It will be released domestically on November 20th.
