Singer Yoo Seung-woo will enlist on September 2, according to a culture reporter from The Fact.
On the 26th of this month, management company A2Z Entertainment announced, "Yoo Seung-woo will enlist on September 2 to carry out his military service seriously. No official events will be held on the day of his enlistment to ensure safety at the scene, and before his enlistment, he will try to communicate with fans as much as possible through his new album."
Yoo Seung-woo will complete his training and then serve 1 year and 6 months in the military band. He released his 6th mini album 'Playlist' on the 25th of last month, and will spend as much time as possible with fans before his enlistment.
'Playlist' features producer and singer-songwriter Yoon Sang, and includes a total of 4 songs composed by Yoo Seung Woo. The title track of the same name 'Playlist' is a mid-tempo pop song that describes moments that can last forever.
Previously on the morning of the 26th, Yoo Seung Woo appeared as a guest on MBC radio show 'Lee Seok Hoon's Brunch Café' to announce his enlistment. While DJing for a day, Yoon Sang asked, "When is the enlistment date?" and Yoo Seung Woo replied, after a bit of confusion, "It's September 2. I've prepared music."
Yoo Seung Woo gained attention when he participated in Mnet's talent show 'Superstar K' season 4 in 2012, and made it to the final top 5. He then debuted in 2013 with the album 'First Picnic'.
