[The Fact | Reporter Gong Mina] While refuting the news that Seungri (real name Lee Seung-hyun) of Big Bang will be attending an event called 'Burning Sun Surabaya' in Indonesia at the end of this month, news has been reported that he was spotted at a club in Indonesia.
According to Maeil Kyungjae on the 12th, Seungri was spotted several times at a club on the beach in Bali, Indonesia on the 10th. In the video obtained by the media, Seungri is seen talking to women who are presumed to be Korean at the club.
Seungri also answered "I'll buy it for you" to a woman's question, "Will Seunghyun buy it for you?" It was also reported that one of the people in Seungri's group suggested to other Korean tourists, "Our accommodation is 5 minutes away, let's go out and play together."
The public is raising their voices in criticism of Seungri's actions, which still show no signs of reflection since the Burning Sun incident.
Earlier, Seungri was once again embroiled in controversy when news broke that he would be holding an event in Indonesia called 'Burning Sun Surabaya' on the 31st. The news was reported on the 9th (local time) through Allkpop, an American Hallyu media outlet.
However, Seungri denied the Allkpop report in an interview with Daily Sports, saying, "I don't even know where the Indonesian region mentioned in the article is," and "I have no plans to do that at all."
Seungri, who debuted as a member of Big Bang in 2006, was named as the main culprit of the Burning Sun case in 2019, and left the team and was expelled from the entertainment industry that year. Seungri, who was indicted on nine charges including solicitation of prostitution, habitual gambling, and violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison. Seungri, who was being tried as a soldier, was transferred to Yeoju Prison after his prison sentence was confirmed, and was released in February 2023 after serving his sentence.
