[The Fact|Reporter Park Ji-yoon] Singer IU has firmly solidified her irreplaceable status as a solo artist in K-pop.
EDAM Entertainment, IU's management company, announced on the 16th, "IU will hold the '2024 IU HEREH WORLD TOUR CONCERT ENCORE: THE WINNING' concert at Seoul World Cup Stadium on September 21 and 22. Tickets for the event were completely sold out through pre-orders for UAENA fanclub members on the 12th and went on general public sale on the 14th."
This encore concert is the “final chapter of the journey to victory,” concluding IU’s five-month world tour from Seoul in March to Los Angeles on August 2, through 18 cities, where she had the opportunity to meet and interact closely with fans.
In particular, when IU announced that she would hold the finale of the tour at the Seoul World Cup Stadium – a famous venue with a huge seating capacity, the atmosphere became lively even before tickets went on sale. Thanks to that, IU wrote a new page in history by attracting more than 100,000 audiences in two days of performances, becoming the first female artist to achieve this feat.
According to the management company, due to the large number of audiences expected to gather on the day of the concert, the maintenance work at the stadium is being carried out thoroughly. They strictly follow the guidelines for using the turf area and conduct training for all staff in advance on the regulations to be followed as well as the code of conduct.
In addition, cleaning will be carried out immediately after the performance on Sunday, and grass protectors with ventilation holes and water supply will be installed to maintain the best conditions for the stadium. They are also working closely with related parties to ensure everything goes smoothly.
With this performance, IU becomes the first female artist to hold concerts at both Jamsil Stadium and Seoul World Cup Stadium – the two largest stages in Korea, and fans are looking forward to how she will conclude her world tour in an excellent way.
