Fantagio announced on Weki Meki's official fan cafe on the 16th, "Weki Meki, which has received a lot of love and support from fans for the past 7 years, ended their official group activities on the 8th after having discussed thoroughly with the company for a long time."

They continued, "Members Ji Suyeon, Choi Yoojung, and Kim Doyeon are currently in the process of further discussions to find the best option for their future, while Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy have ended their exclusive contracts after long discussions."

The company also expressed, "We sincerely thank Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy, who have shown excellent performances as members of Weki Meki. Although group activities have ended, we will continue to provide our full support so that the members can move forward to a better future. We hope everyone will continue to love and support Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy in the upcoming journey."

Finally, the company emphasized, "We and the Weki Meki members would like to sincerely thank the fans for the love and support you have given them throughout the past time. We hope you will continue to show interest and support for the members' new steps."

Weki Meki debuted in August 2017 and have been active with songs such as "I don't like your Girlfriend" and "La La La". This past June, the group released their final digital single, "CoinciDestiny."
