[The Fact | Reporter Kim Saet-byeol] Virtual idol group PLAVE has risen to the top of the music charts.
PLAVE made a comeback on the 20th at 6 PM with the release of their new digital single 'Pump Up The Volume!'.
This new album proved its popularity and buzz by settling in the upper ranks of various music charts as soon as it was released. After its release on Melon, a domestic music site, it entered the HOT100 and TOP100 charts at 1st and 6th place, respectively, and today, the 21st (as of 12:00 AM), it achieved the feat of reaching 1st place on both the HOT100 and TOP100 charts.
With this record, Plave became the first male idol group and virtual idol to reach 1st place on Melon TOP100 in 2024. In 2024, various hit songs such as IU's 'Love Wins All', Vivi's 'Night Yang Gaeng', aespa's 'Supernova', and Illit 'Magnetic' topped the TOP100, but Plave is the only male group to do so.
Also, there are only five K-pop male idol groups that have ranked first on Melon TOP 100 of all time: BTS, Big Bang, NCT Dream, Seventeen, and EXO, and Playb is following suit.
Attention is being paid to Plave future activities, which have started off smoothly by sweeping the top of the music charts.
Following the release of their new single, Plave will also hold a fan concert at Jamsil Indoor Stadium on October 5th and 6th.
