[The Fact | Reporter Kim Saet-byeol] Actors Kim Go-eun and Noh Sang-hyun's 'Love in the Big City' will meet audiences for the first time in Toronto.
Production company Plus M Entertainment announced on the 22nd, "Director Lee Eun-hee and actors Kim Go-eun and Noh Sang-hyun of the film 'Love in the City' will attend the 49th Toronto International Film Festival."
The 49th Toronto International Film Festival will be held from September 5 (local time) to September 15. 'Love in the Big City' has been officially invited to the Special Presentation section at this film festival.
Accordingly, the 'Love in the Big City' team will begin the film festival schedule with the world premiere to be held at the Royal Alexandra Theatre on September 13 as the first official event. First, they will walk the red carpet before the film's release to greet the global audience. After the film's screening, a Q&A session with the audience is also planned.
On the 14th, a second screening and Q&A session will be held at the TIFF Lightbox Cinema. Accordingly, attention is focused on the first reaction to 'Love in the City' that will be held in Toronto.
The Special Presentation section, where 'Love in the City' was invited, is a section that introduces new works by world-renowned directors or actors. Previous Korean films invited include 'Mother' (2009) and 'Parasite' (2019) by director Bong Joon-ho, 'The Handmaiden' (2016) by director Park Chan-wook, and 'The Age of Shadows' (2016) by director Kim Jee-woon.
'Love in the Big City' is a film that depicts the love between Jae-hee (played by Kim Go-eun), a free spirit who has no sense of self-discipline, and Heung-soo (played by Noh Sang-hyun), who is used to keeping his distance from the world, as they 'live together' and enjoy their unique love. It will be released in theaters in Korea on October 2nd.
