As a result, 'Layover' has become V's first 'Platinum' certified work.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan issues monthly gold certifications such as Gold (over 100,000 copies), Platinum (over 250,000 copies), Double Platinum (over 500,000 copies), Triple Platinum (over 750,000 copies), and Million (over 1 million copies).
The song Layover that V released in September last year rose to the top of the Daily Albums chart at that time. The title track Slow Dancing also achieved No. 1 on the Daily Digital Single Chart, and V achieved a great achievement by simultaneously dominating both the digital and album charts. Although the album has been released for more than a year, it is still selling steadily and setting a new record.
The popularity of V and Layover can also be confirmed on the Japanese Oricon. Recently, the LP of the album was released, and thanks to that, Layover unexpectedly achieved No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking (from September 30).
