J-Hope was discharged from the military on the morning of October 17 and communicated with fans via Weverse Live in the afternoon. He expressed his determination, “J-Hope’s Take Three life has begun. I will lose weight, take care of myself, and exercise to get back in great shape and show you lots of fun activities.”
J-Hope was discharged from the military after completing his military service as an assistant instructor at the Recruit Education Company of the 36th Infantry Division of the Wonju Army in Gangwon Province. After Jin was discharged from the military in June, J-Hope became the second member of BTS to complete his military service.
J-Hope shared, 'I took a break as Jung Ho Seok, but now I'm back as J-Hope.' He promised, 'I'll lead everyone on a flowery path. Instead of '곰신' (soldier's girlfriend), you'll be '꽃신' (girlfriend of a discharged soldier).' J-Hope also expressed his gratitude, 'I read a lot of your letters. I feel that there are many people who support BTS and J-Hope very sincerely. I'm really grateful for that.'

BTS is currently on hiatus due to the members' military service. RM and V are scheduled to be discharged on June 10, 2025, while Jungkook and Jimin are scheduled to be discharged on June 11, 2025. Suga, a social service worker, will be discharged on June 21, 2025.
