[The Fact | Reporter Gong Mina] Blackpink member Jennie has entered the US Billboard's main single chart 'Hot 100' with her solo song 'Mantra'.
According to the latest chart (as of October 26) released by Billboard, an American music media agency, on the 21st (local time), 'Mantra' ranked 98th on the 'Hot 100'. This is the best achievement for a solo song. In addition, 'Mantra' ranked 2nd on the 'Global (excluding the US)' chart and 3rd on the 'Global 200' chart.
This is Jennie's second entry on the Billboard 'Hot 100' chart as a solo artist rather than a group member. Last year's collaboration "One Of The Girls" with The Weekend and Lily Rose Depp entered the chart at No. 100 and stayed on the chart for 20 consecutive weeks.
Previously, 'Mantra' entered the latest UK Official Singles Chart (October 18-24) at No. 37, the highest ranking among K-pop female solo artists.
'Mantra', released on the 11th, is a song that contains the message of 'Love yourself as you are'. On the first day of its release, the song ranked No. 5 on Spotify's 'Daily Top Song Global' chart (as of October 11), setting a new record for a solo song. In addition, it topped the real-time chart of Bugs, a major domestic music site, and the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 57 countries/regions, including the US, Brazil, Singapore, the Philippines, and Mexico.
