[The Fact | Reporter Park Ji Yoon] NCT member Doyoung spreads a positive influence on World Children's Day.
On November 7, the Korean Committee for UNICEF (Chairman Jeong Gap Young) announced that "Doyoung donated 100 million won on World Children's Day (November 20) to support the healthy growth of children around the world."
The funds will be used entirely for UNICEF Korea's "Life-Saving Gift" nutrition and education support kits, which include essential relief items for children's development such as health, nutrition, sanitation, clean water, and education. This is a program that allows donors to choose and sponsor the kits they want.
The nutrition education support kit includes nutritious cookies, malnutrition treatment food, backpacks, and books. 100 million won will help provide about 150,000 nutritious cookies and 3,300 backpacks, along with other essential items.
Thanks to this donation, Doyoung was honored in the "UNICEF Honors Club" of major donors. He shared, "I want to repay the support of fans from many countries that I met during my Asia tour and the encore concert of my first solo album. I hope all the children in the world grow up healthy and bright, and I hope everyone will have a happy World Children's Day."
UNICEF Korea Committee Chairwoman Cho Mi Jin also expressed her gratitude, "We sincerely thank Doyoung for his precious gift to children around the world on World Children's Day. His warm care and gestures will be a great hope and motivation for children who are suffering in the difficult winter due to wars and natural disasters around the world."
