[The Fact | Reporter Jung Byeong Geun] Girl group ILLIT has achieved "half-million-seller" status with two consecutive albums.
According to the announcement from the management company Belift Lab on the 27th, ILLIT's (Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) second mini album I'LL LIKE YOU has achieved a total of 582,333 sales (including the regular version and the Weverse version) based on the Circle Chart as of October. This is the sales within just 10 days since the album was released on October 21.
With this achievement, ILLIT has become the next group to reach "half-million-seller" after the debut album SUPER REAL ME. Notably, the group's debut album took a month to surpass the 500,000 mark, but the second mini album shortened this time to only 10 days, showing the group's rapid growth. The total sales of these two albums have exceeded 1.26 million copies.
ILLIT's achievements in the international market are also remarkable. Both albums entered the US Billboard 200 chart (mini album 1: No. 93, mini album 2: No. 94). ILLIT is the only K-pop group this year to have two albums enter the Billboard 200.
In addition, the group's songs also received positive feedback. The title song Magnetic from the first mini album and Cherish from the second mini album both appeared on the Billboard Global chart (excluding the US) in the latest update (November 30), at No. 133 and 160, respectively. Notably, Magnetic has maintained a continuous appearance on this chart for 35 weeks.
Thanks to this popularity, Magnetic has been nominated in the Top Global K-pop Song category at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, which will take place on December 12.
