In the drama, Lee Dong-wook plays Lee Chang-seop, a soldier who confronts Ahn Jung-geun (played by actor Hyun Bin), but shares the same ideal of protecting the country. Through dramas such as 'Goblin', 'My Boyfriend is a Gumiho', and 'Assassination Shop', he has proven his acting prowess. With this comeback, he hopes to attract viewers with a new role.
The actor shared, "Lee Chang-seop is a soldier with a strong will, ready to fight for the country's independence. In particular, as a comrade with the same aspirations as Ahn Jung-geun, the relationship between them is not only comradeship but also deep trust and attachment. Therefore, he can frankly express his views to this friend about his path to independence."
He also confided, "The time filming Harbin was the process for me to most clearly and completely portray the good qualities and spirit of this character."
Director Woo Min-ho said, "Through the film Stranger from Hell, I discovered a completely new and unexpected side of Lee Dong-wook. In Harbin, the audience will once again witness a different role of the actor when transforming into a character with a strong appeal - Lee Chang-seop."

Harbin - the film is set in 1909, telling the story of a thrilling and tense chase between people who strive for a common ideal and those who pursue them. The film is scheduled to be released on December 25.
