[The Fact | Reporter Byeong-geun] While there are many suspicions that singer Song Mino, who is currently performing his social service duties as a public service worker, did not fulfill his responsibilities, his management company has explained that “his sick leave and vacation were both used in accordance with regulations.”
On December 17, YG Entertainment said, “It is difficult for us to confirm details regarding the artist’s obligations,” and affirmed, “However, the use of sick leave and vacation was used in accordance with regulations and he has been continuing to receive treatment since before his service.”
Earlier that day, entertainment news site Dispatch reported that Song Mino did not regularly attend work at the Mapo Community Facility Center, where he is currently serving his mandatory military service. Dispatch said that after transferring from Mapo Facilities Management Corporation to the center, Song Mino only appeared occasionally, only signing a confirmation to come to work and then leaving. They also revealed that from November to early December, reporters visited the center more than 10 times but did not meet Song Mino once.
Song Mino, a member of WINNER who debuted in 2014, began his alternative military service in March last year. He is scheduled to be discharged on December 23.
