[The Fact | Reporter Park Ji-yoon] A collaboration song between group NCT's Mark and singer Lee Young-ji is being unveiled.
On the 16th, SM Entertainment, the agency, announced, "Mark's new song 'Fraktsiya' (Feat. Lee Young-ji) will be released on various global music platforms at 6 PM today," and "The new song's music video will also be released simultaneously on YouTube SMTOWN channels, etc."
'Fraktsiya' is an impressive hip-hop song with a heavy 808 bass over a house-style chord progression and a powerfully repeated synthesizer sound. Mark will captivate listeners with his unique charm and sharp rapping that he has not shown before, adding elements of UK drill, a subgenre of hip-hop.
Mark introduced the new song through his agency, saying, "I started working on the song while looking back on my position in K-pop and thinking about living in various ways," and explained, "I felt that Youngji had a similar character to me, so I asked her to feature, and she readily agreed."
He continued, "I thought Youngji and I would have a unique 'chemistry', so I really wanted to do something together, and I confirmed that it was not wrong with 'Fraakchi'," and said, "I would like to thank Youngji once again."
Finally, Mark said, "I am excited to finally present a new single, and I hope that the fans who have been waiting for it will like it a lot," and added, "I had fun working with Youngji and completed a great song, so I hope you all enjoy 'Fraakchi', which is hot this winter, and cheer up."
Mark, who has been actively promoting as a member of NCT 127 and NCT DREAM, has proven his abilities as a musician by continuously presenting songs that contain his own musical individuality, such as 'Child', 'Golden Hour', and '200'. He plans to release his first solo album in April next year.
