[The Fact | Reporter Jung Byung-geun] Host and interpreter Ahn Hyun-mo posted a condolence post about the Jeju Air disaster but was criticized for some of the content in the post. On December 30, Ahn Hyun-mo posted a photo of the airport background on her personal SNS story, along with a condolence post about the Jeju Air disaster. She wrote, "Whether it's Friday, Saturday, or today, every day I board a plane makes me realize that taking off and landing are fate. Every time I think about it, I feel more grateful for everything and find that even breathing in and out can become tragic."
However, netizens later criticized that mentioning "fate" in a situation where so many people died was inappropriate. Many expressed strong reactions such as: "Why post such an article?"
Earlier, at 9:03 a.m. on December 29 (Korean time), Jeju Air flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, encountered an accident while trying to land on the runway at Muan International Airport, Jeollanam-do Province.
