NewJeans Leaves ADOR – Ready to Explode as NJZ in 2025

[The Fact | Reporter Saet-byeol] The group NewJeans has officially announced its new name "NJZ" and started communicating with fans under this name.
On February 7, NewJeans posted a notice on their official SNS: "Please Look Forward to a Journey Full of Surprises in 2025 with NJZ". At the same time, the group also changed their SNS account name from "jeanszforfree" to "njz_official".
Member Danielle shared about this decision: "After considering the opinions of fans, we chose NJZ to maintain the core spirit of the original group name."
NJZ will officially appear under the new name at the event "ComplexCon Hong Kong 2025", taking place from March 21 to 23 at AsiaWorld-Expo, as the main performer.
The organizer of "ComplexCon" also confirmed this information on SNS: "Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein - the new group NJZ will join us in creating a journey full of surprises in 2025."
Previously, in November 2024, NewJeans held an emergency press conference, announcing the termination of the exclusive contract with ADOR due to the company's breach of obligations. However, ADOR insists that the contract is still valid and has filed for an injunction to prevent the members from signing endorsement deals as another group.
The lawsuit is currently being heard at the Seoul Central District Court, with the first hearing scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on April 3.
The NJZ members have hired law firm Sejong – the legal representative of former CEO Min Hee-jin – to handle the case.
