Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her home in Seongdong District on the afternoon of the 16th, at the age of 25. Born in 2000, Kim Sae-ron debuted as a magazine model in 2001. In 2010, she made a strong impression on the audience through the movie 'The Man from Nowhere'. After that, she continued her acting career through many famous works such as 'The Queen's Classroom', 'Mirror of the Witch', 'The Witch's Duel', 'Mysterious Neighbor', 'A Girl at My Door', and 'Ordinary People'.
However, in May 2022, Kim Sae-ron was involved in a drunk driving scandal. She crashed into a transformer and a barrier on a road in Gangnam District, Seoul. At that time, her blood alcohol concentration exceeded 0.2%, much higher than the permitted level for having her driver's license revoked. As a result, in April 2023, she was fined 20 million won and decided to suspend all artistic activities.
After that, Kim Sae-ron tried to return to the play 'Dongchimi', but faced negative reactions from the public and eventually went into hiding. At that time, a representative of CTS Art Hall said, "Kim Sae-ron will withdraw from the play Dongchimi. We were informed that the reason is health issues."
In November last year, it was reported that Kim Sae-ron starred in the movie 'Guitar Man' (directed by Shin Jae-ho), and this work became her last movie.
