[The Fact | Reporter Choi Subin] Group SEVENTEEN has just made a "reverse climb" on Japan's Oricon chart.
According to the latest Oricon chart released on March 4 (data as of March 3), SEVENTEEN's 4th Japanese single "Shohikigen" and 12th mini album "SPILL THE FEELS" took the No.1 spot on the 'Daily Singles Chart' and 'Daily Albums Chart', respectively.
It is rare for an artist to reach No.1 on both charts with two albums released at different times, attracting the attention of many people. In particular, although "Shohikigen" and "SPILL THE FEELS" are both products released long ago, both continue to receive persistent love, creating the achievement of "climbing up the chart". Released in November last year, "Shohikigen" surpassed the 500,000 mark after only one month of release and was certified 'Double Platinum' by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). The album also ranked No. 1 on the ‘Daily Singles Chart’ on January 17, February 27, and 28.
Meanwhile, “SPILL THE FEELS,” released in October last year, ranked No. 5 on the 2024 Oricon ‘General Album Chart’ and ‘Album Chart’. Earlier this year, the album was certified ‘Double Platinum’ by the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
In the near future, SEVENTEEN will strengthen their position in Japan through fan meetings. The group will hold “SEVENTEEN 2025 JAPAN FAN MEETING ‘HOLIDAY’” on April 24, 26, and 27 at Kyocera Dome Osaka, as well as on May 10 and 11 at Saitama Super Arena.
Before that, on March 20 and 21, the group will also hold a fan meeting "2025 SVT 9TH FAN MEETING 'SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND'" at Incheon Munhak Stadium's main stadium.
