[The Fact | Reporter Jung Byung-geun] Stray Kids has increased the total number of albums certified RIAA Gold in the US to 5, becoming the first K-pop group to achieve this feat.
According to the official announcement from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on March 11 (local time), the album "SKZHOP HIPTAPE '合(HOP)'", released on December 13, 2024, has been certified Gold. RIAA Gold is awarded to albums or singles that sell 500,000 copies or more in the US.
Currently, Stray Kids owns a total of 9 RIAA Gold certifications, including:
4 singles: "神(신)메뉴", "MANIAC", "Back Door", "소리꾼"
5 albums: "★★★★★(5-STAR)", "樂-STAR", "ATE", "MAXIDENT", "合(HOP)"
Notably, Stray Kids is the first K-pop group to have 5 or more albums certified Gold in the US.
Recently, Stray Kids has continuously achieved success in the global music market. The group is currently conducting the largest tour in its history, with 55 shows in 34 regions around the world, expected to attract 2.2 million audiences, setting a record for the most audiences in a K-pop tour. The tour includes 34 spectacular stadium concerts in 22 regions in Latin America, Japan, North America and Europe.
In addition, the song "ReawakeR" by Japanese singer LiSA, featuring Felix (Stray Kids), topped the US Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart on March 8, 2025.
Stray Kids will return on March 21 with a new digital single called "Mixtape : dominATE". This is the fifth product in the "Mixtape Project" that the group started in 2019. All members participated in the production, headed by the in-house production team 3RACHA.
