According to an announcement from SM Entertainment, the title song "Whiplash" from aespa's 5th mini album will have an English version called "Whiplash (English Ver.)", released at 1 p.m. on March 27 (Korean time).
In addition, the group will also release a remix of "Whiplash" by famous DJ and producer Steve Aoki. SM revealed that this remix version will have a tech house style, bringing a new color compared to the powerful original version.
aespa will perform "Whiplash (English Ver.)" for the first time on March 29 (local time) at the "Billboard's Women in Music 2025" event in Los Angeles, USA.
The song "Whiplash", released in October last year, is a dance track with strong bass and fast house rhythm.
