On March 29 (local time), Jennie attended the 'Billboard Women in Music 2025' awards ceremony at the YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles, USA, and received the 'Global Force Award'.
Jennie shared, "It is an honor and pride to receive the 'Global Force Award' at an event filled with beautiful women who have inspired me. I am inspired by all the women in the world and hope to become a person who has a good influence on everyone in the future."
'Billboard Women in Music' is an award ceremony that honors the most influential female artists, creators, producers, and directors in the music industry this year.
After releasing her debut solo album 'Ruby' on March 7, Jennie created a global sensation. 'Ruby' has been on the 'Billboard 200' chart for 2 consecutive weeks, and the title track 'Like JENNIE' has entered the top 10 of Billboard's 'Global (Excl. US)' and 'Global 200' charts for 2 consecutive weeks.
In addition, 'Ruby' ranked 3rd on the UK's official album chart 'TOP100' (dated March 14), making Jennie the best-performing female K-pop solo artist and the first K-pop artist to enter the chart for 3 consecutive weeks.
Jennie will continue to participate in America's largest music and arts festival - 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival' on April 13 and 20.
