First Unit Formation in 8 Years of Debut

On April 23, Dreamcatcher Company announced, "JiU, SuA, and Yoohyeon will officially debut as the unit UAU in May and are currently in the active preparation stage." Dreamcatcher (composed of JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, Gahyeon) debuted in January 2017, and this is the first time the group has debuted a unit in 8 years.
The name UAU is a homonym for the phrase "You Are You", meaning "You are who you are". This is also a combination of one letter from each member's name. With the combination of three members with diverse abilities, the unit aims to convey a musical message that wants listeners to find themselves comfortably and freely in their boring daily lives.
Previously, UAU announced the official logo on Dreamcatcher's social media and received a warm response from fans. JiU, SuA and Yoohyeon are expected to maximize the combined power of each person's individual charm.
Through activities with Dreamcatcher, the three members have built a unique musical color based on the rock and metal genres.
