On the 28th, his agency 131 Label stated, “B.I will go beyond being our representative artist and lead the company’s vision and direction as a producer in the future,” and “He will lead the company by planning the overall management of artists as well as producing.”
B.I said, “Since releasing my first solo album ‘WATERFALL’ on June 1, 2021, there have been many realistic difficulties, but I was able to come this far thanks to the fans who believed in and loved my music,” and expressed his gratitude to his fans, saying, “I am where I am now because of that time.”
He continued, "I was able to endure the difficult moments during my four years as a solo artist thanks to the fans who were always by my side," and "Based on those times, I want to communicate with my fans through music more deeply and for a longer time."
In this way, B.I. has become the central axis responsible for not only the planning and producing of 131 Label but also a creative community. He will not only plan to bring out the artist's colors but also draw the direction that 131 Label will take as a brand.
B.I., who debuted as a member of the boy group iKON in 2015, received much love by releasing several hit songs such as "My Type" and "Love Scenario." However, in 2016, it was revealed that he had taken marijuana and LSD, a type of drug, and in 2019, he left iKON and terminated his exclusive contract with his agency YG Entertainment. B.I, who had been in a period of self-reflection, was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 4 years of probation in 2021.
Among them, B.I, who made a fresh start by releasing his first solo album in June 2021, received a hot response by touring major Asian cities such as Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Macau, starting in Seoul on May 17 last year.
He then met with fans by touring 14 European cities including Berlin, Frankfurt, Vienna, Tilburg, London, and Paris, and successfully completed a tour in Oceania including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Auckland in April.
In addition, B.I attended the global street fashion and culture festival 'ComplexCon Hong Kong' as a representative artist of Korea in March, further solidifying his position as a global artist. As such, attention is focused on the future of 131 Label and his musical journey that he will show as he is loved not only domestically but also around the world.
