Revealing Highlight Medley for Mini Album ‘Echo’

[The Fact | Reporter Jung Byung-geun] BTS member Jin will fill his mini album vol.2 ‘Echo’ with songs that have a strong band feel.
On May 12, management agency BIGHIT MUSIC released the highlight medley video for Jin’s new album ‘Echo’ on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel. Including the title track ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’, all 7 songs are based on the band music that Jin has long loved. From the lyrical melodies of the pop genre to the powerful power of alternative rock, the album has a diverse range of colors.
According to BIGHIT MUSIC, the title track ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ is the opening track of the album. This is a pop song with a simple melody and restrained structure, bringing a lonely atmosphere. The song describes the pain of a broken relationship, but at the same time, it also shows the hesitation when both of you are still unable to let go of each other.
The second track ‘Nothing Without Your Love’ is a Brit rock song with the highlight of the majestic string section. The drums and guitar riffs rise at the climax, creating intense emotions. Next is the third track – ‘Loser’ (collaboration with Choi Yena) – with a bold and vibrant pop punk style.
The fourth track ‘Rope It’ is Jin’s first attempt at the country rock genre. The cheerful energy of the song fits Jin’s bright and hopeful image. The fifth track ‘Truyen troi cung may’ has a magical J-rock sound, reminding listeners of warm anime.
The sixth track ‘Background’ is a pop ballad with an emotional melody and a captivating band music. The final track – ‘Today to Myself’ – is an alternative rock track influenced by 1970s–80s Brit rock. The song starts out soft and simple, but then turns into a bright atmosphere as if the audience is immersing themselves in the music.
The mini album ‘Echo’ consists of 7 tracks that express different moments in life that are spread like echoes. Jin participated in writing the lyrics for ‘Nothing Without Your Love’, ‘Loser’, ‘Rope It’, and ‘Truyen troi cung may’. The album will be officially released at 1pm on the 16th.
