[The Fact | Reporter Kim Myung-joo] ILLIT has brought a new color through the remix of the new song “Do the Dance”.
Management company Belift Lab said on June 27, “At 1 pm (KST) on June 27, ILLIT’s remix ‘Do the Dance (Remixes)’ was released simultaneously worldwide.”
The album includes a total of 7 remixes of the title track “Do the Dance” from the mini album vol.3 ‘bomb’ released on June 16. The original is a French house track that conveys the vibrancy and freshness of a first date.
The remix of ‘Snail’s House’ on the album was done by Japanese DJ and music producer Snail’s House, known for songs with Pluck&B and Chiptune sounds. The remix of ‘Sunlight’ has a vibrant summer atmosphere, highlighted by synth melodies and rhythmic bass lines.
The remix by Pig Tap – the producer and DJ who participated in the original – evokes a more passionate summer image. The remixes by French electronic artists Breakbot and Irfrank push the French house element – the foundation of the original song – to a climax.
In addition, the album also includes a slower-paced ‘Slowed Reverb’ version compared to the original and an instrumental version (without lyrics).
ILLIT, who made a comeback on June 16, is currently gaining great traction with their new album. The mini album vol.3 surpassed 400,000 copies sold in the first week of release, setting the group's highest record ever, surpassing the achievement of the mini album vol.2. The title track "Do the dance" entered the Melon Top 100 upon its release, and maintained the No. 1 position for 6 consecutive days (from June 18 to 23) on the Top 100 chart of Apple Music Korea today.
