[Truth | Reporter Kim Saet-byeol] The lineup of new actors has been revealed as 'Yumi's Cells' returns for Season 3.
The production team of the TVING original series 'Yumi's Cells' Season 3 (written by Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran, directed by Lee Sang-yeop, hereinafter referred to as 'Yumi's Cells 3') announced the news of Kim Go-eun, as well as actors Kim Jae-won, Jeon Seok-ho, Choi Daniel, Jo Hye-jung, Miram, and Park Se-in, on the 3rd.
'Yumi's Cells 3' is a romance that stimulates cell empathy, depicting the story of Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun) returning as a star writer and the cells that still know only Yumi as adults again and love each other as usual.
'Yumi's Cells', which was first released in 2021, has been produced seasonally and has received much love for a long time. Yumi's daily life and love story, which are simple but witty, realistic but cheerfully drawn, have created excitement and laughter for many people.
This season 3 returns after a long 3 years. Kim Go-eun will once again play Yumi. Yumi, who previously challenged her new dream of becoming a 'writer', has become a great success as a romance novelist. However, love is still difficult for her. The cell village seems to have entered a temporary period of rest, and while it is quiet and uninteresting, the appearance of the reindeer (played by Kim Jae-won) in front of Yumi will bring a refreshing change.
The reindeer who will stir up Yumi's cell village is played by Kim Jae-won. He is a new PD of the Julie Literature editorial board, with a cute face but full of 'realistic violence', and he is a character with unexpected charm. In particular, the reindeer faces surprises when he takes on Yumi, whose 'emotional cells' are wavering. Accordingly, attention is focused on his acting, which will show the chemistry between the old and young generations with Kim Go-eun.
Jeon Seok-ho returns as Julie Literature's editor-in-chief Ahn Dae-yong. He is the benefactor who helped Yumi debut as a writer and the husband of Ida (played by Mi-ram), and he lives a busy life. Likewise, Miram, who will be with Yumi this season, has contributed to the fun by playing Ida, a friend who has great chemistry with Yumi.
In addition, the new faces joining this season are also eye-catching. Choi Daniel plays Kim Joo-ho, the head writer of Julie Literature, which is managed by Ssunrok, and is a strong extrovert. Kim Joo-ho is a new character not in the original work, and he will upgrade the fun of the play with his charm that is completely opposite to Ssunrok.
Jo Hye-jeong plays Baek Na-hee, Yumi's assistant writer, and shows off her lively energy. Park Se-in transforms into Jang PD, Yumi's PD, and adds realism to Yumi's life as a screenwriter.
The news of special appearances by actors who worked together in Seasons 1 and 2 is also attracting attention. Sung Ji-ru plays Kim Man-sik, a father who thinks about Yumi all the time, and Lee Yoo-bi plays Iru-bi, a mischievous character that you can't hate.
'Yumi's Cells 3', whose lineup has been confirmed, will be released on Tving in 2026.
