[The Fact | Reporter Kim Saet-byeol] Group Say My Name has recruited an eighth member and will begin activities as an 8-member group.
Say My Name's agency Inkode Entertainment announced on the 10th through their official social media (SNS), "New member Shuie has joined the team," and "Starting today, Say My Name will transition from the original 7-member group to an 8-member group."
Say My Name previously released teasers for their summer comeback in sequence. In particular, the teaser video released on the 9th featured an 8-piece cake decorated with stars in each member's symbolic color. Here, there was another hand taking the cake decorated with stars in 'purple' instead of the colors of the seven members, which raised curiosity. This hinted at the new member, Shui.
The agency said, "We deeply sympathize with the various emotions that fans will feel as we welcome the new system," and took care of the fans who were surprised by the sudden news.
They continued, "We will approach with even more sincerity and maintain SAY MY NAME's unique identity and teamwork."
Finally, they added, "Please continue to watch SAY MY NAME's journey with warm eyes, and we ask for your interest and support."
Along with this, the agency also posted Shuie's profile picture. However, specific information has not been released yet.
Say My Name is the first idol group from Inkode Entertainment, an agency founded by singer and actor Kim Jaejoong. They debuted in October of last year and have been actively promoting domestically and internationally, including releasing an album in March.
Also, SAY MY NAME is scheduled to make a comeback in August.
