[The Fact | Reporter Jeong Byeong-geun] MONSTA X has reunited as a full group. It has been about 4 years since their 'Gunbaekgi' (a hiatus due to military service). In the meantime, some members have released albums and promoted as units, but it was not the time of a complete MONSTA X. It is a long period of time for idol generations to change, but their past 10 years have been quite deep-rooted and unwavering.
On May 13th, when Hyungwon was discharged from his military service, MONSTA X (Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, I.M) became a full group again. The youngest member of the team, I.M, has not yet completed his military service, so there may be another vacancy, but it can be said that this is a new start for MONSTA X. In the meantime, many strong teams have emerged and the landscape has changed a lot, but the tower that Monsta X has built is not something that can be easily torn down.
Monsta X, who debuted in May 2015, has established their own territory with dynamic and intense performances and has built a solid fandom. They have released three full-length albums and 12 mini-albums in Korea, expanding their music spectrum with diverse genres and concepts. They have also released singles in the US since 2018 and have made a global leap by releasing two full-length albums.
Here, there is one achievement that cannot be left out. Although there are quite a few teams that are on the US Billboard chart now, in 2020, when it was very rare to enter the chart itself, Monsta X ranked 5th on the main album chart, Billboard 200, with their first full-length album in the US, 'All About Luv'. At the time, they were the third group to make it to the top 5 of the chart, following BTS and SuperM.
This achievement is the result of their stage being recognized in the US as well. MONSTA X became the first K-pop group to join the 'Jingle Ball' tour, a year-end show hosted by the famous American radio station iHeartRadio, in 2018, and have performed together three times in total from 2019 to 2021. They also successfully completed a world tour in 2019 and a US tour in 2022.
Although Shownu's enlistment in July 2021 marked the beginning of a long 'full-group military service', the achievements they made before global K-pop took off in earnest show that MONSTA X has established a solid position in the US. At the same time, this is the biggest driving force and nutrient for MONSTA X to make a confident leap forward once they are back together as a full group.

What opens the door is a performance that makes MONSTA X the most MONSTA X-like. They will be holding '2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X' for three days from the 18th to the 20th at KSPO DOME in Seoul. It is a perfect event for MONSTA X's new beginning, as they have proven themselves as the 'mainsta of performances' and 'legends of performances'.
"We focused on what MONBEBE (fandom name) wants to see. We received many opinions that we wanted to include MONSTA X's 10 years, so we prepared a concert that only gathered the essence of the past 10 years," just like the members said. MONSTA X is determined to strengthen the continuous connection they have maintained with their fans through this concert and once again embark on a hot voyage towards music and the world stage.
That is why the concert title is 'CONNECT X'. This means that we (Monsta X and Monbebe) are constantly connected, and the hearts that have naturally connected over time and the trust that has grown thicker towards each other intersect at one point, that is, at this concert, and the determination and determination to open the next chapter together.
Monsta X's performance went beyond a simple display of strength and was a process of accumulating emotions and energy by putting narratives into each song, which is why it was given the title 'Midaeppeo' (a performance that you can trust and listen to). Monsta X will prove their value through the stage itself, as they have always done. This is expected to be a signal to open a new chapter.
The new chapter will be followed by a performance held at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Japan on August 27-28 and a new album in September. The members' words, "We are trying to create something new while satisfying the music that is expected of us" and "A slightly fresher Monsta X" make us look forward to Monsta X's new challenge and leap forward.
