4th Full Album Sold 304,000 Copies in First Week in Japan

[The Fact | Reporter Kim Saet-byeol] TXT has set a new record on the Japanese Oricon with their new album.

According to an Oricon article on the 29th, TXT 4th full album, "Star Chapter: TOGETHER," sold 304,000 copies in its first week, topping the latest weekly album ranking (dated August 4th, based on the July 21-27 period).

This is the highest weekly sales of TXT in Oricon history, surpassing the previous record of 303,000 copies of their second Japanese album 'SWEET'.

With this achievement, they are also the first foreign artist to have 12 albums in a row ranked #1 on the Oricon weekly album rankings.

TXT first topped this chart in 2020 with 'The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY', and has since shown their prowess by placing all of their albums at #1. Starting with 'minisode 2: Thursday's Child' in 2022, they became the foreign artist with the most consecutive #1s, and have broken their own records with every comeback since.

TXT's 4th album has been strong in the Japanese music market since its release. On the first day of its release, it topped the Line Music daily album chart and held that spot for six consecutive days (July 22-27). The title song "Beautiful Strangers" also maintained its position at number one on the daily song chart during the same period, proving the power of the local fandom.

This album is the final story of the "Star Chapter" chapter following the previous work "Star Chapter: SANCTUARY." It deals with the story of saving each other and the world through "calling each other's names," which is only possible when you truly empathize with each other. The album's narrative, visuals that visualize it, and performances that enhance immersion are receiving favorable reviews from fans.
