
Singer Lim Young-woong’s fan club, Youngwoong Era, donated 11,766,745 won to the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation to celebrate the artist’s 9th debut anniversary. This donation was made on July 31. Youngwoong Era, which was established five years ago for the purpose of studying Lim Young-woong’s music, currently has 33 active members. The fan club decided on this donation to follow Lim Young-woong’s good influence, according to the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation.
The fan club stated, ″We hope that this donation, made with one heart by all members, will be a small help to children with cancer,″ adding, ″We will continue to create a warm world together with Lim Young-woong.″ Hong Seung-yoon, the executive director of the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation, expressed appreciation, saying, ″We are always grateful for the efforts of Lim Young-woong’s fans for children with cancer,″ and assured that the donated funds will be carefully used for the medical expenses of children suffering from childhood cancer, leukemia, and rare difficult-to-treat diseases.
The Youngwoong Era fan club has recently continued various donation activities. They previously donated 200 million won to the Community Chest of Korea under the fan club’s name to help victims and local communities affected by heavy rainfall. Additionally, in March of this year, Lim Young-woong made a donation to the Community Chest in the fan club’s name for recovery efforts following wildfires. Since 2021, Lim Young-woong’s total donations to the Community Chest have reached 2.3 billion won. The positive influence of Lim Young-woong and his fan club, Youngwoong Era, continues.
