Boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) has shown continuous growth even in their sixth year. TXT released their fourth studio album, ’Star Chapter: TOGETHER,’ on the 21st. This album serves as the concluding story of the ’Star Chapter,’ following the previous work ’Star Chapter: SANCTUARY,’ and contains themes of saving each other and the world through the act of ’calling out each other’s names,’ which is only possible when there is mutual empathy.

According to the sales tracking site Hanteo Chart, TXT’s fourth studio album ’Star Chapter: TOGETHER’ recorded a total of 1,760,867 copies sold in its first week. With approximately 1.43 million copies sold on the first day alone, TXT quickly became a million-seller, surpassing the first-week sales of their previous mini-album ’Star Chapter: SANCTUARY,’ which was 1,579,339 copies. Thus, TXT has achieved the title of six consecutive first-week million-sellers, starting with ’minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’ in 2022 and continuing with this album.

TXT’s momentum also continued in Japan. According to a Japan Oricon article on the 29th, this album sold 304,000 copies in its first week, reaching the top of the latest weekly album ranking. This is the highest weekly sales for TXT in Oricon’s history, surpassing the previous record of 303,000 copies from their second Japanese studio album ’SWEET.’ TXT has become the first overseas artist to have 12 albums consecutively reach number one on the Oricon weekly album ranking.

Debuting in March 2019, TXT garnered attention as the first group introduced by Big Hit Music after BTS. Director Kang of Netflix’s ’K-Pop Demon Hunters’ referenced TXT while conceptualizing the group Lion Boys, with Yeonjun serving as a source of inspiration for Lion Boys member Romance. Furthermore, TXT has become known as ’the elementary school president’ among elementary school students. If there is a girl group like IVE, it can be said that TXT represents the boy group.

As 2025 approaches, TXT is naturally at a point where discussions about contract renewal would take place as they enter their sixth year. Subin, appearing on MBC’s ’Radio Star,’ jokingly stated regarding the renewal, ″We are the ones in charge.″ Although this was said in a variety show context, considering their achievements thus far, they could very well be in a position of power. When asked about the contract renewal during the album release showcase, Subin mentioned, ″We are discussing it among the members, but I can boldly predict that we might have positive news,″ adding, ″The happiest time is when all five of us are together. We all share the same wish to sing and perform for a long time.″ Hueningkai also reassured fans, saying, ″You don’t need to worry too much.″

Cases of boy groups extending contracts in their complete form beyond the ’seven-year curse’ are gradually increasing. Their agency’s seniors, BTS, have renewed their contract with Big Hit Music twice. Recently, many boy groups have announced complete contract renewals, providing reassurance to global fans. The title of this album is ’TOGETHER,’ which means together. This word, included in the group’s name, draws attention to whether TXT, now in their sixth year, can continue to envision a future together.
