The seventh episode of SBS’s global boy group audition program ″B:MY BOYZ,″ which aired on the 2nd, featured the first episode featuring top idol group Wanna One. MCs I-dle’s Miyeon and Dex made their first appearances, piquing interest in the program. Team ″BOOMERANG″ included Lee Yoon-seong, Kai, Van Daniel, Jang Won, Yang Sung-hee, and Park Jun-hyeok, while Team ″Hwal Hwal″ included Kim Jung-hoon, Park Se-chan, Yang Hyun-bin, Lee Yeon-tae, Lee Jun-myung, and Moon Jae-il.

The first match was between Team ″Energetic″ and Team ″Beautiful.″ Wanna One explained, ″’Energetic’ is a song we’re grateful for, and it’s a gift from Master Hui of ’Be My Boys,’ so it brings back new emotions. ’Beautiful’ is a lyrical song that’s also received much love overseas.″ The two teams expressed their anticipation for the team switch as they prepared for their respective stages.

During the ″Energetic″ performance, Hiroto demonstrated his powerful vocals, while Hyo expressed his determination, saying, ″This song was composed by Master Hui, so I want to do even better.″ The Energ+Full team delivered the first verse with solid choreography and vocals, earning praise from the original singer, Hui, who said, ″The vocal synergy is harmonious.″ The Beauty+Getic team, which took on the second verse, faced a crisis due to the late arrival of Kim Bo-hyun and William, but improved their skills through teamwork. Ha Sung-woon said, ″I’d like to give a round of applause to the Energ+Full team. The overall balance was good. The Beauty+Getic team’s choreography felt a bit disorganized, which was disappointing.″ Lee Dae-hwi praised the song, saying, ″Kang Jun-sung’s introduction gave me goosebumps. Next, the emotional ″Beautiful″ performance was unveiled. Beauty + Jetic expressed longing for a friend who had grown distant in the first verse, while Energy + Full showcased a storytelling style of yearning for memories with friends they once shared in the second verse. After receiving criticism during the mid-term review for the vague feel and subtlety of the dance, the two teams engaged in in-depth discussions to further immerse themselves in the song. Seo Jun-hyuk remarked, ″The child is really cute when he practices. I tried to capture the moments I spent with the B:GINNERs.″

As the song concluded, Lee Dae-hwi and Park Woo-jin praised the sincere performance of ″Beautiful,″ saying, ″This is how you debut. I didn’t know you could do this well live.″ Bae Jin-young and Ha Sung-woon commented, ″When Lim Ji-hwan shed tears, I was reminded of the past and got really immersed in the performance and got emotional.″ Ha Sung-woon praised the performance, saying, ″I think leader Hyoga held the center well, which made for a great performance. Lizwei also did a great job.″ Bae Jin-young added, ″Beauty+Jetic’s gestures and expressions really shined on stage.″

Team Hwal+Merang began their first practice with Kai at the center.
