Bolbbalgan4’s Ahn Ji-young revealed that she was experiencing a slump. On the January 2nd broadcast of JTBC’s ″Knowing Bros,″ 10CM’s Kwon Jung-yeol, Heize, and Bolbbalgan4’s Ahn Ji-young appeared as guests. On the show, Ahn Ji-young confessed that she was a member of the Super Junior fan club, ELF, during middle school. ″I got hit in the back of the head a lot while secretly looking at Super Junior photos,″ she said. ″Looking back now, it’s so amazing.″ She also revealed that her favorite fan was Kim Hee-chul. Ahn Ji-young explained, ″I went to a mission school, and I was the head of the religious department. I could use the computer alone during the morning service. I secretly looked at photos taken by the fans, and I got caught a few times and got hit in the back of the head a lot. I loved it so much.″

Kim Hee-chul responded, ″I still carry my MP3 player around, and it has a ton of your songs.″ Ahn Ji-young was delighted, saying, ″I’m such a huge fan!″ Ahn Ji-young said of her vocal tone, ″It was kind of natural. I realized my voice was unique after my debut.″ She added, ″I studied a lot, focusing on the tones people like.″ Ahn Ji-young chose ″To My Puberty″ as her favorite song. She said, ″It’s about my story, and people relate to it and find comfort in it, so it gives it even more meaning to my teenage years.″

Ahn Ji-young also mentioned her regrets. ″I wrote this song while thinking back to my high school days, and I heard that elementary school students these days find comfort in it. It breaks my heart because the world has become so harsh.″ Ahn Ji-young also revealed that she experienced a slump. ″To be honest, I’ve never not received much love since my debut, even for three or four years. I’ve received a lot of love every year.″ Ahn Ji-young confessed, ″I was jealous of the constant love I received. I took a two-year hiatus, and even that made me anxious. When I got back on stage, I worried, ’What if they forget me?’″

Ahn Ji-young revealed that she particularly draws strength from university festivals. ″That’s why I do a lot of university festivals, and when my friends remembered me and sang along, I was moved to tears.″ A video of Ahn Ji-young performing on stage at a university festival was released, and she was briefly unable to continue singing due to the students’ chorus.
