BTS’ Jungkook’s ″Seven″ has become a mega-hit. Since its release in 2023, Jungkook’s debut solo song, ″Seven,″ ranked 151st on Billboard’s Global 200 chart for the August 2nd issue. It also charted at 82nd on the Global (Excl. US) chart released the same day, successfully entering both charts. This demonstrates the continued popularity of ″Seven″ as a global mega-hit.
Jungkook set a new record with ″Seven,″ staying on the Global 200 and Global (Excl. US) charts for 105 and 106 weeks, respectively. This is the first and longest such streak for an Asian solo artist. According to Billboard’s official website, Jungkook has charted a total of 17 songs on the ″Global 200″ chart and 18 on the ″Global (Excl. US)″ chart. Therefore, Jungkook holds the record for a total of 240 and 289 weeks on both charts.
″Seven″ is also gaining prominence on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform. The song has maintained its position on Spotify’s ″Weekly Top Songs Global″ chart for 107 consecutive weeks, demonstrating its immense popularity. ″Seven″ also holds the record for the fastest and first time an Asian artist has achieved this milestone.
Jungkook’s ″Seven″ was ranked number one on the ″Best K-Pop and Rap Collaboration of All Time″ list released by the American pop culture magazine Complex in March, further solidifying his global popularity.
