The supernova girl group aespa will be releasing a new album after an 11-month hiatus. According to their agency SM Entertainment on the 4th, aespa will release their sixth mini-album, ″Rich Man,″ on September 5th at 1 PM KST. This marks their first album-specific release since their fifth mini-album, ″Whiplash,″ released in October of last year.
The album, ″Rich Man,″ contains six tracks, including the title track of the same name. It heralds a different approach from their single, ″Dirty Work,″ released in June. The intro video for ″Rich Man,″ released on social media at midnight, hinted at the album’s visual concept with 3D guitar graphics. The video also included the slogan, ″I am enough as I am, I am a ’Rich Man.’″
SM Entertainment stated, ″As the slogan mentioned above suggests, this album redefines aespa’s unique ’Rich Man,’ brimming with their own unique energy and power, rather than the conventional ’Rich Man.’ They will showcase a more distinct individuality and musical style.″
Aespa established themselves as a top K-pop girl group last year with three major hits: ″Supernova,″ ″Armageddon,″ and ″Whiplash.″ They are beloved by fans both domestically and internationally for their unique music and powerful performances. Aespa’s new album, ″Rich Man,″ is highly anticipated as a significant work showcasing their musical evolution.
