Yunho of the group ATEEZ will begin his acting career in earnest. Yunho will star in the short drama ″Electronic Brain Chief Jeong″ on August 8th, followed by the music snack movie ″Back! Stage″ on the 18th. ″Electronic Brain Chief Jeong″ will be released on Kanta, a short drama platform serviced by content company Ridibooks in Japan. The drama follows perennial manager Jeong Man-sik as he solves various problems with the help of his AI smartglass, ″Alpha,″ and his junior, Kim Min-hyuk. Yunho plays Kim Min-hyuk, a new employee who assists Manager Jeong.
Kim Min-hyuk, played by Yunho, is the only junior who truly follows Manager Jeong. He stays by his side and exudes a charming charm as he solves cases. Expectations are high for the chemistry between Yunho and Jung Joon-ha. ″Back! Stage,″ which will be released on the 18th, tells the story of vocalist Ki-seok, who receives a stage offer from the band that once rejected him. This work delicately portrays the process of reunification through the themes of music, youth, and growth. Yunho will play the lead role of Ki-seok.
The trailer for ″Back! Stage,″ released last month, featured a scene of conflict between Ki-seok and Yu-won. This scene, which depicts the tension between past wounds and complex emotions escalating into a physical altercation, captured the attention of ATEEZ fans and filmgoers alike. Yunho made his acting debut in the 2021 KBS2 drama ″Imitation.″ He received acclaim for his portrayal of Yujin, a character with a gentle demeanor but also tenacity and perseverance.
Yunho has established himself as an ″all-rounder″ in the music industry, working in diverse fields such as special MCing music programs and composing drama soundtracks. Drawing on his extensive acting experience, he will showcase his diverse acting spectrum by portraying two distinct characters in ″Electronic Brain Chief Jeong″ and ″Back! Stage.″ Beyond being a leading K-pop star, he is expected to showcase his talents as an actor and demonstrate his true potential as an ″all-round entertainer.″
Yunho’s short drama ″Electronic Brain Chief Jeong″ will premiere on the 8th, and his first screen debut, ″Back! Stage,″ will premiere exclusively at CGV theaters nationwide on the 18th. Meanwhile, ATEEZ, which Yunho is a member of, successfully concluded its 2025 world tour ″IN YOUR FANTASY″ in the US, performing in Atlanta, New York, Baltimore, Nashville, Orlando, Chicago, Tacoma, and San Jose.
