
Ive has broken her own personal record on the Japanese Oricon chart. According to an Oricon article on the 5th, Ive’s third Japanese album, ″Be Alright,″ sold approximately 165,000 copies in its first week, topping the Oricon Weekly Album Rankings (as of August 11th; data collected during the July 28th-August 3rd period). This figure surpasses the first-week sales of her previous Japanese album, ″Alive.″ With her new album, Ive has broken her own personal record for the highest first-week album sales among foreign female artists this year, according to Oricon figures, once again confirming her unrivaled popularity in Japan. The new album, ″Be Alright,″ features the title track of the same name and the Japanese NTV drama ″Damemane!″ -Unsellable talent, I manage you!-″ The album consists of five tracks, including the OST ″Dare Me,″ ″Ascendio,″ ″Blue Heart,″ and the Japanese version of ″Wow″ from their second full-length album, ″Ive Switch.″
The title track ″Be Alright″ conveys a message of courage, encouraging people not to fear change and to move forward. Since its pre-release on the 16th of last month, the song has garnered enthusiastic responses from global music fans, entering Billboard Japan’s ″Hot Back,″ ″Hot Shot Song,″ and ″Download Song″ charts.
Ive will make his first appearance at Japan’s leading music festival, ″Rock in Japan Festival 2025,″ on September 15th. Having impressed last year at ″Summer Sonic 2024,″ attention is focused on what kind of performance he will deliver at this festival.
Ive also plans to make a comeback in Korea on the 25th with the release of his fourth Korean mini-album, ″Ive Secret,″ and its title track, ″XOXZ.″
